Divine Mother Meditation

Divine Mother CaveHappy Mother’s Day. In honor of all mothers, and all those who have fulfilled the role of mother, or who have loved a mother, or who have longed for a mother’s love, I offer you this meditation from Sacred Sexuality, Reclaiming the Divine Feminine. Find a comfortable seat and set the tone by lighting candles and playing soft, soothing music. Settle into your sacred space by relaxing your shoulders… jaw… temples… hips… thighs… arms… Place your hand on you lower abdomen. Begin circular breathing. Breathe down the front of your body, pausing at your lower abdomen, your womb, the site of the second or Sacral Chakra. Breathe out, up your spine, releasing at your Crown Chakra. Do this several times.

Close your eyes to allow inner vision. See yourself in front of a cave. As you enter the cave, notice the warmth and inviting essence that surrounds you. To the right is a heart-shaped lantern. Take the lantern and move deeper into the cave until you find a passage.

Follow the passage, allowing the inviting nature of this sacred place to sooth and caress you into this womb of the Divine Mother.

Feel the warmth of this nurturing environment and allow it to move you deeper still. Become aware that you are expected here.

As you reach the center of the womb, you notice a beautiful being seated in the middle with outstretched arms, inviting you in. You nestle into her loving arms, allowing the security of her strength and beauty to envelop you in love.

Feel the awe at being held and nurtured in this way. As you melt into this Divine Being, your hearts blend. You feel the barriers and blockages in your life fade away, dissolved by her love.

Her Sacred Heart energy heals and renews you, filling every void with her essence. Feel her supporting you, guiding you, encouraging you.

Ask her what it is that you are to birth in order to fulfill your destiny. Wait as she answers. When you feel complete, thank her and move back out of the womb, carrying the radiant love of her presence within you. Return to your present space and time. Journal what you experienced and what you learned.

LIVE THE QUALITIES OF YOUR DIVINITY AND RECLAIM YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM

What if we were to capitalize on this concept?

What if we were to declare our personal freedom from tyranny and oppression? What if we were to reclaim who we are as magnificent expressions with every right to live from our Divinity? Living in the Mystery – Perfect Participation with the Sacredness of Life

Backyard springMy backyard is filled with promise as buds on trees and bushes and flowers stand in excited anticipation of their full expression. They have no doubt, concern, or need.

Only Love and Peace.

Nature is content with what is; everything in Her, lives in perfect participation with the sacredness of Life.

A gentle breeze sings through my chimes, the sun warms my back, the deliciousness of spring awakening to Itself – of this we are a part. What an amazing and blessed metaphor. Everything about spring models -

Living in the Mystery.

I sit in the midst of this, blessing and grateful for the perfection and sacredness of myPurple hyacinth life. In its unfolding is the invitation to live in the mystery.

“My life is full” vs. “I have too much to do” requires a simple shift in perception. There is nothing to figure out, nothing that has to get done.

There is only the recognition of the Creator as Doer.

In living in the mystery, I Am pondering three questions:

  1. How do I experience all the things I love and desire in a way that makes “Time” my friend?
  2. With Time as my friend, how do I reconcile the perceived “either or” of my passion for intimate communion with my devotion to living my purpose?
  3. With my passion and purpose aligned, how do I express my femininity in a way that allows my radiance to shine?

What questions are you living in? Ask from Who, What, When, Where, and How. Write them down, then affirm with me:

“Like the plants and trees surrounding me, I am “being” while allowing the Great Mystery to reveal the beautiful blossoming of these budding questions to bloom into their fullness.

Deepening into Oneness

There is so much emotion coming up from within me around this deepening I have said yes to. The Divine, God/Goddess, the Sacredness of Existence Itself being revealed in each moment when I attune to a higher vibration. It doesn’t make sense to the rational ego mind. The fading of separation, the blurring of you as other, allows me to see the me in the you as I journey into Oneness with the All.

In this place of surrender, of trusting, I stand looking at you, recognizing the wisdom you have brought into this world. Knowing you in ways I cannot put into words for your Divinity is so bright and good and true. It helps me understand the perfection of this journey we are on together. Knowing the union of who we are in the Oneness of Conscious awareness – and I often do not know where I stop and you begin.

Attachment wants to claim that, but in essence, beyond the attachment is the longing for Oneness.

I lean into the longing with all its deliciousness and open to releasing the story of attachment. You have shared your wisdom of it many times on our journey. I listen to you because I know the depth of your wisdom and your guidance. When you share insights about me, they deepen my understanding of me. In the work of releasing attachments, I find peace with what this journey is all about, even in the uncertainty.

This relationship with you as me and me as you is so rich and juicy, and at times dark and uncertain, and I often want to run from it. But where would I go?

I stay right here because this is where truth is being revealed.

There is a longing for relationship in the traditional sense of “how it’s supposed to be.” But this is a setup for frustration. It’s born out of separation and only facilitates drama and story.

I recognize the longing for connection and sit with it as if soothing a crying child. Loneliness wants to create a need for relationships in order to have purpose. But Loneliness is the emotion that Separation uses to pull me in. It has lost its power because of the insights I have gained from you.

Right where I am is where I need to be.

And the wounding I and so many women, the collective, have suffered because of the masculine misuse of power, this journey with you is helping me to surrender it all and be in the Love. And I get so scared in this vulnerability, and you will share a thought or a word or a knowing and in that is my freedom. For Fear is the great deceiver, and when I deny Fear, I gain clarity and truth. And you continue to facilitate that for me to the point that I am losing who I think I am, and I know that’s good, but the emotion is so intense.

I have this glimpse of a higher truth of my Beingness. And in those moments, I no longer hear the voice of this world. There is only Love. A deep, vulnerable, unconditional love. Especially for myself, and I am beautiful, wearing that crown of truth and clarity.

And on the other side of attachment is this deep devotion. It requires a releasing of the wounding, the story, the bitterness, the need to be right in my wrath, the intolerance and ignorance. Releasing all of this, as well as any need to prove my worthiness, is like polishing the crown of truth and clarity.

Your inner sight shows up in our intimacy, on so many levels. In-to-me-see. I open my heart. I don’t know what’s best. I don’t know anything about timing . And it feels that it’s perfect that I don’t.

You, having embodied the feminine, standing in the masculine, offering guidance and insight – suggestion only.

Nothing ever forced. And there’s a deep, tender gratitude in me for your Presence in this thing called life. So I settle into the knowing that I don’t know what’s best. I know love. I know love and devotion, to me, to you, to us, to the Oneness journey we are on.

And I know that to complete this, that the illusion and drama must be recognized. I must release it all, the you, the me, the us, the Oneness Journey we are on. To be with Love and Devotion for the sake of Love and Devotion. Only then can I gain it all.

And it feels like there’s room for all of it, every aspect that comes up to explore together, apart, deeper in the inside until the inside becomes the outside. And I am in the innocence of a child, waiting, knowing that Love is building the container that can hold the power and joy of this deepening into Oneness with other. Where I am is exactly where I, you, we, where we are supposed to be. And it’s beyond everything I’ve ever known, but I lean into it in profound ways.

Balance and Tone Your Sacral Chakra

Do you want to spice up your sex life or feel more passionate and creative? Then, it’s a good idea to unblock or strengthen your second or Sacral Chakra, and I’ll show you how to do it with a simple technique called Dynamind.

All chakra imbalances manifest in uncomfortable physical and emotional problems that you can describe as a “feeling.” Serge Kahili King, PhD, the Hawaiian shaman who taught me Dynamind, advises asking yourself what emotion is a problem, where you feel that emotion in the body, and then work on changing that physical sensation to let the healing energy of the body once again flow freely.

Chakra energy centers hold a vibration and color, like a human rainbow, and are affected by every experience, thought, and emotion we have ever had. You can use that vibration and color to enhance the Dynamind Process… here’s how to use it to balance the Sacral Chakra.

BALANCE THE SACRAL CHAKRA

Located at the lower abdomen, the second chakra, the Sacral Chakra, is the focal point of your emotions, sexuality and creativity. This chakra governs how you relate to others and the flow of your feelings and creative expression. It vibrates with the energy of the color deep orange.

As I describe in my memoir, Chakra Secrets, my Sacral Chakra crashed after I felt abandoned by my guru, the man I saw as my spiritual savior, the man who taught me to raise my kundalini energy. But what can be opened, can close. Years later, after a bout of promiscuity led to the opposite extreme of celibacy, I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. Obviously, my Sacral Chakra was spinning out of balance.

You may recognize some of these emotional or mental health issues commonly associated with the Sacral Chakra – sexual frigidity, promiscuity, confusion or addiction, co-dependency, being overly emotional or stoic, feeling guilty.

Physical health issues include gynecological problems, urinary tract problems, and stiffness or pain in the lower back.

When the Sacral Chakra is balanced, you feel more confident in your relationships, free to process your emotions, feel creative, and able to enjoy sex and other pleasurable activities without guilt.

HOW TO USE DYNAMIND:

1) FOCUS – Hold your hands out in a loose prayer-like position.

2) DECLARE – Say aloud the condition you’re feeling that you would like to change, for example:

“I’m doubled over with cramps and that can change. I want that feeling to go away.”

or

“I’m feeling anger in my lower back and that can change. I want that feeling to go away.”

3) RELEASE – Tap 7 times on the center of your chest, then at the point between the thumb and forefinger of each hand, and on the top bone of your spine (the 7th cervical vertebra).

4) BREATHE – Direct your breath, inhaling with your attention on the crown of your head, exhaling with your attention below your feet. Repeat until you feel or notice a change.

THE DYNAMIND TONER FOR THE SACRAL CHAKRA:

Use this quick toner whenever you want to strengthen the Sacral Chakra.

1) FOCUS – Hold your hands out in a loose prayer-like position.Becca Chopra performing _Dynamind_ chakra healing. (2)

2) DECLARE – Say aloud how you’d like to feel, e.g.,

“I’m not as easy-going as I want to be. I want to go with the flow, like a mountain stream.”

Imagine your Sacral Chakra spinning clockwise, a wheel of bright ORANGE energy in your abdomen.

3) RELEASE – Tap 7 times on the center of your chest, then at the point between the thumb and forefinger of each hand, and on the top bone of your spine. You can hum instead of tap, toning the sound “VAM” as you place your fingers over each spot.

4) BREATHE – Direct your breath, inhaling with your attention on the crown of your head, exhaling with your attention below your feet. Repeat as needed.

Opening to The Beloved, a Journey of Sacred Desire

The Beloved and I sat facing one another, cross-legged and naked, fully vulnerable and exposed, wrapped in the gaze of sacred desire.

Not a desire to satisfy the flesh, but a desire to satisfy the whole.

He gazed deeply into the realms of who I am. I felt his eyes touch every part of my being. I tingled inside as my pelvic floor contracted and released several times.

His eyes shared with me his inner beauty – reflected in me as me. Amazed by the Divinity he saw there, he bowed to me then softly brushed my cheek with the back of his hand. My eyes closed in response to this tenderness.

A soft sigh left my parted lips as he gently tucked my hair behind my ear. My body leaned into him. As I opened my eyes, I saw The Beloved. His eyes fixed on me; I saw in those eyes the magnificence of His Divinity, creating me as if for the first time.

His hand moved down my neck and rested on my shoulder, his other hand brushed up my arm and rested on my second shoulder. A gentle squeeze of hands on shoulders sent a message of purity and protection. I felt in that moment, the sacredness of our encounter.

The scent of him filled my nostrils and I breathed him in, feeling the union of man and woman, masculine and feminine, human and divinity, complete and full in a simple touch.

He softly kissed my neck and my body collapsed into him, his arms supporting my head and back as he gently lowered me to the ground. A soft brush of my nipples with fingers then lips then tongue, his touch playing my body like a fine instrument.

I heard my moans vibrate me from the inside, matching the rhythm of his skilled creativity. My body became his canvas and as the artist, he brought the canvas to life. Each touch, each gaze, each kiss as he moved down, resting his head, first on my heart, whispering,

“You are alive with so much sacredness.”

I tingled and breathed him in, his voice music to my soul.

His hands gently stroked my fur as his head moved to my belly. He snuggled into me with the innocence of a child, The Beloved becoming vulnerable in order to enter my kingdom.

He lay there in this way, gently stroking my inner thighs with a feather like caress. I could hear his breathing quicken and join in union with mine.

I felt the longing deep within, to know The Beloved in this sacred way.

A surrendering to all that we thought we were into the Divine Desire to know the Spirit and Soul as Flesh.

My second chakra, alive and on fire, longed to know every part of him in me as me. My sixth and seventh chakras guided me into a deeper more sacred longing.

I felt his fingers stroke me in an OMing gesture of innocence and curiosity. His fingers danced me into wetness, my body pulsating and undulating to the tempo of his touch. His fingers entered me as he once again gazed into my eyes, watching the beauty and magic of his artistic creation.

My Lover, my God brought me to the fullness of my sacred sexuality with an intensity that exploded into wild euphoria.

He once again brushed my check with his hand and I could smell the lusciousness of his hand’s encounter with me.

In my euphoric delirium, he entered me ever so slowly. I gazed into his eyes and saw his longing, his fierce grace, and incredible, delectable willingness to lose himself in me.

The strength of his jaw tightened as he swiftly and expertly moved his hips with mine. I took the depth of him thrusting into me, becoming one with me, arms and legs entangled, sweat and saliva mingling.

My lover and I moved so deeply into loving, into connection, into a sweet NOW Oneness. All illusion of separation vanished. We climaxed together into each other’s bodies, unclear where he ended and I began.

Oh, the incredible love that exists when one is fully present in sacred, sexual surrender to  The Beloved.

WHAT DO LOVE AND SEX HAVE TO DO WITH THE CHAKRAS?

And I still practice what I preach. When my lower back hurts, I work on my Root Chakra. A headache? I know that’s my cue to work on my Third Eye Chakra. The Fruits of Love and Compassion

Beautiful FruitWhat does it feel like when you find yourself in judgment and wrath?

The past few months, I’ve had an interesting experience with an attorney who has managed to find all of my buttons. He’s been pushing them with such rigorous enthusiasm that I finally just had to laugh. In my laughter, I surrendered this world. I opted instead to bathe in love and compassion.

But not before each encounter pushed me into judgment and wrath.

My buttons?

    • Not being heard
    • Getting mixed messages
    • Costing me thousands of dollars
    • Not being available
    • Constantly interrupting me
    • Being condescending

I found myself angry and full of resentment and fear to the point of exhaustion – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Carrying around the heavy burden of judgment and wrath will take its toll, thus the need to be in the world, not of it.

If you free yourself from the world, you will rise and reach the light that is the eternal life of the spirit. ~~Gospel of the Beloved Companion

So how does one free themselves of this world when everything seems to be crumbling? Devotion to our spiritual practices is key. Connection with the Divine provides the light and the strength to move mountains, especially the mountains of judgment and wrath!

According to the Gospel of the Beloved Companion, the Complete Gospel of Mary Magdalene, which I’m studying with the Awakening Women Institute,

“I saw the first great bough that bears the fruit of love and compassion, the foundation of all things. And I knew that before you can eat of this fruit and gain its nourishment, you must be free of all judgment and wrath. When you have freed yourself of these burdens, you may eat of the fruit and so gain the love and compassion that will allow you to pass the first of seven guardians. And I heard the voice of the lord of wrath calling to me, but I denied him and he had no part in me.”

I couldn’t stop the story or the judgments born out of the story until I realized the gifts of this encounter. Only then could I deny the judgments and move back into love and compassion.

This man had simply been reflecting aspects of me I had not yet reclaimed. The harsh judgments I had toward him were actually self-judgments.

  • Where am I not listening, especially to my Intuition?
  • What mixed messages am I giving myself and the Universe?
  • Where have I been interrupting the Divine’s plan for me?
  • How have I been condescending to myself and to God?

When I got completely honest with myself, I was able to envelop both of us in love and compassion. My burden immediately became lighter. In fact, there is no burden – never was.

There is only love.

Receiving the Love after facilitating a Healing Dialogue

I sit here this afternoon in awe and amazement at the incredible gift Life is. My journey has been rich and deep. I have learned so many incredible life lessons, sometimes clawing and scratching, kicking and screaming. Sometimes simply as an observer – a lover of what is.

When I woke on Saturday to a white wall of snow pouring though the sky, the emotions I experienced felt raw and unsettling.

“OH NO! Not again!”

I felt this for me and from my family and friends. The many of you who wanted to come and support me, whose plans had changed because Mother Nature had a different idea for your day.

While in the midst of deciding what to do, the roller coaster crested the top of the highest track. Fear and angst mounted in my throat. I called on the Divine Feminine to guide my decision, to help me be strong, to show me how to handle this “interruption” in my plans with grace and dignity.

Still the tears came!

I wept, thinking I should not be weeping, until a still small voice whispered,

“You are suffering because of your false belief that you should not cry, that you should not be upset with the weather!”

What a beautiful awareness to receive, one of many in the past month as I’ve moved deeper into this Reclaiming of the Divine Feminine in my everyday life. Deeper still, I am moving into full embodiment so that she may work her magic through me.

I gave up traumatizing myself with that false belief and allowed the fullness of what I was feeling to emerge. Disappointment and uncertainty poured forth through my tears. I allowed the thoughts that wanted to take it personally. I allowed the tears to spill, unabated by any ideas that I should be strong.

What a gift to allow!

On the other side of the breakdown was a breakthrough and more guidance to move ahead with my day as planned. Thirty-five of you came to celebrate with me, turning the day into such a blessing. I changed the format and instead of having a talk, facilitated a dialogue based on selected readings from

Sacred Sexuality, Reclaiming the Divine Feminine.

Some experienced breakthroughs, some connections, and some awareness and understanding. It became clear to me that this is the work that’s here for me to do. To create healing circles for us to talk about our experiences in ways that facilitate deeper self-love and self-acceptance, as well as connection to others who have walked similar journeys in their own sexuality, albeit quite different.

I have no idea what this circle work will look like yet, but I felt my whole being smile as I realized how important it is to have this discovery that would not have happened in a larger audience. The snow had curtailed my plans to give me this new insight, and I received!

Goddess is so good! God is so wise!

I’m grateful to those who came and shared and supported me. Who showered me with so much love and compassion. If you missed because of the weather, I will be facilitating these groups in the future. We’ll move forward together in an exchange that fosters healing, transformation, and the radical expression of sacred sexuality in our lives.

Final Book Cover (414x640)Day one on Amazon, my sales rank started out at 1,600,000. It’s always a new author’s wish to make it to number 1 on day one. While that didn’t happen, I did make it to 1,875!

There are 1,900 title on Amazon with “Sacred Sexuality” in the title. When you type only those two words into Amazon’s search bar, Sacred Sexuality, Reclaiming the Divine Feminine continues to come up on the first page, usually second or third.  Yay! Try it.

I’ve had several international sales, which included people who have paid three times the cost of the book in postage to receive it!

I knew this was a topic that needed to be addressed, but I had no idea how much it would speak to people and how much it is needed in the world. Women I don’t even know are contacting me and sharing their stories, some speaking it out loud for the first time. It’s so healing.

My greatest surprise and delight is the number of men who have told me they are really enjoying the read, finding it insightful. Not only is it facilitating healing for them, it’s helping them have a deeper understanding  of the women in their lives and the role of the Divine Feminine in their own.
