The Elixir of Love

The elixir of Love is intoxicating, turning level-headed people into drunken fools. But what is it about this deep desire to Love with an intensity that makes us feel whole, perfect, and complete? My 21 day Sadhana reached completion today, Valentines Day. So during my final meditation and chant with Lakshmi, I went deep within, to the core of my being and asked, “What is love to you, dear A’ra?” This is the response that followed…

Love is patient and kind and supports wholeness of expression.

Love is unconditional acceptance and encourages personal empowerment.

Love always leaves room for the down-hearted, opening a space in the circle for each soul to experience enlightenment.

Love touches the core of us when we open to receive.

Love is a gift we get to give away as an expression of deep compassion, caring, and devotion to ourselves and others.

Love creates opportunity where none existed, where only shadows loomed.

Love stands in authenticity, integrity, and honesty, allowing Itself to flow through any situation like a healing balm or a passionate tantalizer.

Love uses forgiveness to transmute all wrongs.

Love cracks us wide open in Its pursuit of what’s real.

Love is an endless stream of energy that feeds our soul and opens our minds.

Love will give us our hearts desire when we allow space for It to expand our lives.

Love comes in many shapes and sizes but always Its goal is to remind us of our magnificence.

Love throws Its arms open to us as an invitation to remember who we are.

Love creates for us an altar of fresh flowers, scented candles, and silky oils with which to anoint us and bless us with the gifts of heaven.

Love cradles us in our darkest moments and celebrates our highest accomplishments.

Love holds up a mirror to our brilliance in diversity while humbling us into our Divinity.

Love nurtures and nourishes us, always filling us with exactly what’s needed in the moment.

Love is in the laughter of a child, the kiss of the morning dew on a rose, the tender embrace of a Lover.

Love is glamorous and gorgeous and outright delicious.

Love is present within us every moment of our lives, enveloping us in grace and plenty.

Love creates a space for our sorrow and our delight and never wavers in the face of adversity or grandiosity.

Love brings us home to ourselves when we feel lost and out of place.

Love allows us to play the fool, take risks, make mistakes…

Love plunges into the unknown with complete abandon, trusting the power of Its conviction.

Love is the elixir of life that takes us to the depth of our being while expanding us into our highest state of Awareness.

Go ahead, dive into Love’s temptation. Drink this sweet elixir into every cell of your being. You may crash and burn trying to figure out this thing called Love, but you will never regret having given all of yourself to Love when Its real.
